The Daily Routines of Famous Authors

benfranklindailyWhile I highly recommend reading this article, there is one writer’s routine missing from it: David Mamet’s.

In his collection of essays, Make Believe Town, he has an essay that I’ve cherished from the moment the words hit my eyes: The Diner.  He starts out throwing a curveball until he can’t keep it up and gets real honest.  And it’s so refreshing that I yelled out “Yes!” while reading it.  Of course, you might be the type of writer who he feigns being in the opening of the essay.  Personally, I’m like Mamet but we each function differently.  Grab a copy and enjoy.

But in the meantime, enjoy this read.
