This week’s InkTip screenwriting leads

——————————————————————–

Brightlight Pictures – Seeking Cable MOW Scripts

——————————————————————–

We are looking for completed, MOW scripts that are suitable for Hallmark or similar cable networks, which is to say we are open to submissions in a number of different genres as long as they are female-driven MOWs that target a female demographic between the ages of 35 and 55. Please only pitch if your script was developed and formatted as an MOW, we are not looking for features which could be “easily adapted to fit.”

Budget will not exceed $2 mil. WG and non-WG writers may submit.

Our credits include “Hats Off to Christmas!” which is also a good example of the sort of projects we’re looking for.

Rendition Films – Seeking Female-Driven Thriller Scripts

——————————————————————–

We are looking for completed feature-length, female-driven thriller or female-driven crime/thriller scripts. Scripts should be “woman in peril/woman in jeopardy” stories with a female lead protagonist, age 35 and older. A supporting female character 20 and under such as her teen daughter would also be great. Though not necessary, preference is given to stories that are “ripped from the headlines.” Something that made the news within the past few years or current social issues. Stories need to have some action/thriller elements but nothing beyond the scope of the budget. We are not open to horror/thrillers. Please Note: Writer doesn’t have to be Canadian but we still give preference to Canadian writers.

Budget will not exceed 1 million. WGA and non-WGA writers may submit.

Our credits include “Jane Doe” among others.
